James Jones died Sunday.

He was the husband of Emily Jones and the late Joyce Jones; father of Diana (Danny) Dugan, Kathy Cunningham, Janet (F.W.) Scott, Jr., Wallace E. (Vickie) Martin, Jr., Cheryl (Bob) Reynolds and Carolyn (Scott) White; and grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 12. He also was the brother-in-law Maynard Howell and friend to many.

A graveside service will be held at noon Thursday at Bethel Cemetery in Wildwood.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Church Missions Fund, 2731 Edgewood St. SW, Roanoke, VA  24015 or Child Evangelism Fellowship of Roanoke, 17 Highland Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA   24016.
