Last 'Last Chance' to File Income Taxes Tuesday
Today is this year's extended deadline from April 15 to April 17.
Typically, personal income taxes are due annually on April 15. However, this year the filing deadline was set on April 17, due to the Internal Revenue Service guideline that the filing deadline not be on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday. And because April 16 is a holiday in Washington D.C. (Emancipation Day), that pushed the filing deadline to Tuesday.
