How Did Rockwood Transportation Go for First Day Back To School?

As St. Louis County’s largest school district, more than 22,000 students in the Rockwood School District headed back to school this morning. Share the best, worst and most dangerous observations about student-related transportation.

Rockwood officials said more than 120 buses rolled out of the bus garage located at Pond Elementary School in Wildwood to pick up 12,000-plus students across the district.

Rockwood-related buses will travel more than 5 million miles this year, according to district estimates.

A different report that Babler Elementary bus forgot a subdivision and showed up at 9:50 a.m. instead, per a Eureka-Wildwood Patch reader/Facebook friend.
