Golf Enthusiasts Needed for Senior PGA in St. Louis

For a fee, volunteers will get access to PGA perks at Bellerive Country Club. Any Wildwood or Eureka residents planning to volunteer?

The Senior PGA Tour is open for business ahead of next May's Senior PGA Championship, to be held at Bellerive Country Club.

The event, scheduled for May 21-26, 2013, will require approximately 1,600 volunteers to help with everything from transportation to player leader boards.

In a news release, the PGA announced this week that registration for volunteers was now open.

There is a $135.22 fee to volunteer, which covers the following:

  • Official Senior PGA Championship uniform including 74th Senior PGA Championship shirt, wind jacket, and hat/visor.
  • Official 74th Senior PGA Championship Program
  • $10 discount at the Championship Golf Shop
  • Preferred parking
  • Food and water vouchers
  • Senior PGA lanyard

Volunteers will be assigned on a first-come first served basis, and should be able to work three or four 4-hour shifts over the course of the championship.

To register, go online, or contact the 2013 Senior PGA Championship Office (314) 594-0148.
