Why Go: Go spend an evening tasting the wines of Italy and food pairings as well. There will also be the "Cracking of the Parm," an event not to miss!

- Middle School Out Bash
Where: Eureka Community Center; Friday, May 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Why Go: Middle schoolers, come celebrate the start of the summer with the Eureka Parks and Recreation Department. Students from grades 5 through 8 are welcome to dance the night away!

- Rockwood Parents as Teacher Vehicle Day
Where: St Louis Community College-Wildwood; Saturday, May 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Why Go: Take your child (ages 18 months to 5 years) to learn about all the different vehicles used in our community.

- Lafayette High School Air Force Junior ROTC Barbecue
Where: Lafayette High School; Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Help support the Peter Navarro Patriot Scholarship Fund. He is a fallen soldier who died overseas, serving in Iraq.
Pricing: $6 a plate; additional donations also accepted.
- Annual EMS Day and Fair
Where: Metro West Fire Protection District Station 3; Sunday, May 15, from noon to 4 p.m.
Why Go: This annual event is an opportunity to meet firefighter and paramedics, learn about the life-saving equipment used for emergencies, and have some fun.
