Chamber Members Meet in Wildwood

First Friday Coffee: West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce members met Friday at Lindenwood University in Wildwood.

West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce members were hosted Friday by Ron Hendricks, campus director of Lindenwood University in Wildwood, for the chamber's First Friday Coffee, a monthly gathering of members.

It was a year ago in November that the same chamber event was hosted at the university:  First Friday Coffee Club Attracts Business Leaders.

Chamber members take turns sponsoring this monthly networking opportunity. The organization represents businesses and communities in eight cities, including Wildwood, Ballwin, Clarkson Valley, Ellisville, Manchester, Twin Oaks, Valley Park, Winchester, and unincorporated St. Louis County.

Harry Lemay, Wildwood city council member, Ward 3, thanked Hendricks for being a business leader from Wildwood to host one of the coffees.

Hendricks held a drawing to give away a university shirt and tickets to the university's play:  A Christmas Carol, which was held Saturday at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts in St. Charles, MO.

Members discussed Thursday's upcoming Missouri Department of Transportation open house to be held about a joint plan to widen Missouri Route 109 between Route 100 and Clayton Road to two lanes in each direction with a modified two-lane roundabout at Route 109 and Pond-Grover Loop Road and a western extension of Pond-Grover Loop Road. The meeting will be held at Babler Elementary School in Wildwood.

Well, I think it might be a great idea to widen the road, Just not now. We should be cutting back on spending a while.
