St. Louis-style barbecue? Something tangy, mustardy or spicy? Ribs, pulled pork or beef? When you want barbecue, where do you go?

This week, we're interested in your favorite West St. Louis County spots for barbecue. Every week on the West County Food Fight, we're looking the best places to dine and drink.

Please give your recommendations for places covered by our West County Patches: Eureka, Ballwin, Ellisville, Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, Wildwood, Town and Country and Manchester.

Here's how the Food Fight works:

  • Each week, we'll ask a question about your favorites.
  • We invite you to post your nominations in the comments below.
  • We hope you'll also spread the word about this every week to your friends on Facebook or Twitter and get them involved.
  • Submit comments until 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Then:

  • We'll take the top nominees and post an article first thing Thursday morning.
  • That article will include a poll highlighting the top nominees.
  • You vote till Friday at 5 p.m.
  • On Saturday, we announce the winner.

Definitely PM BBQ. My favorite is the smoked chicken or smoked turkey! The smoked brisket is famous! Really, can't go wrong with anything. Can be crowded at lunch... go early or call ahead for carryout is what I do!

Our pick would have to be Super Smoker's in Eureka. When you smoke pork for 24 hours and season it the way they do, you can't go wrong! That's how they win all of those cookoff contests. Also love the baked beans!

BBQ ASAP out on the Ballwin/Ellisville border...it used to be known as "Mr Harry's Carnival Foods" but the BBQ was the real seller... Jim has remodeled extensively to add lots more table space has award winning BBQ as well as the "Carnival" foods... Love his Pulled Pork and Ribs... plus he has Burnt Ends available most days! Great food and a real bargain!
