Milder temperatures on Tuesday afternoon made perfect softball weather, and the Eureka High School girls' varsity softball team used it to cinch a 13-1 win over the Mehlville High School team.

Eureka's junior varsity softball team also won that afternoon at Mehlville.

Eureka's players hit a steady stream of singles, and Mehlville's infielders had some challenges with grounders that day.

Eureka softball team members next play Parkway West at 4:15 p.m. Friday, again at home.
