Eureka Man Charged with Assaulting Girlfriend, Officer
An officer said the man spat at and tried to kick her.
A Eureka man was charged July 19 with third-degree domestic assault and assaulting an officer.
Eureka Police Department officers said in a report that Timothy Devine, 30, of the 200 block of North Virginia Lane, argued with his girlfriend about 7:55 a.m. July 19 and punched her in the face. Eureka police arrived and later told Devine his girlfriend was pressing charges. Devine then spat at the officer and tried to kick her, according to the report.
Bond was set at $2,000, cash only.
