Greater St. Louis Art Association (GSLAA) members elected Eureka artist and gallery owner Steve Grzyb as their president. His term began Jan. 1.

Grzyb, the owner of Art by: GRZYB, Studio/Gallery, located at 133 South Central Ave in Old Town Eureka, has been a GSLAA member and juried artist for two years. He served on the GSLAA board as publicity co-chair last year.

“I am honored that my GSLAA fellow artists have chosen me as president. We are looking forward to next year as another year of growth and opportunity," he said.

"The GSLAA has a very talented and passionate membership. They donate their time and energy to help artists grow and become more involved in art education through art shows and programs in their communities and its annual awarding of scholarships and grants to area high school art students.”

The mission of GSLAA is to promote and encourage their members to enrich their artistic skills and creativity and to support art education in the St. Louis region. GSLAA members have served the St. Louis area for more than 24 years, and are known for the national juried spring and fall art shows at Queeny Park.

Mr. Grzyb is very friendly and made me feel welcome when I visited his gallery. Congrats to him and the GSLAA for electing him as their president.
