Eureka and Cedar Hill Drivers Hit During Turn

A young driver from Eureka collided with a driver from Cedar Hill on Friday afternoon in Jefferson County.

 

Eureka resident Camilla McAlister, 18 years old, was driving a 1996 Toyota Camry Friday afternoon, when she made a left turn onto Route B, south of Ridge Road in Jefferson County. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, McAlister turned into the path of a car being driven by 59-year-old Daniel Hyde, a Cedar Hill resident. 

Hyde was heading southbound on Route B, along with a passenger, Celena Hyde, 60 years old. He was driving a 2002 Kia Spectra. 

The front of the Spectra struck the left front of the Camry. The accident occurred at 2:30 p.m. Both vehicles were totaled.

All three people were taken to St. Clare Medical Center for minor to moderate injuries. They were wearing seat belts, according to authorities.
