Biggest Garage Sale in Midwest to be Hosted in Eureka Saturday

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, the Six Flags parking lot in Eureka will be transformed into a huge garage sale and swap meet. Sale proceeds benefit the Eureka High School scholarship fund.

The Eureka Chamber of Commerce annual garage sale and swap meet is an outdoor event that will occur rain or shine Saturday on the parking lot of Six Flags St. Louis, 4900 Six Flags Road in Eureka.

Kelly Lubker, executive director of Eureka Chamber of Commerce, said this 6th annual promises to be a good one. "We have more than 300 vendors registered, and more are calling to inquire."

One side of the lot is devoted to a variety of garage sale items.

The other side of the lot will hold vehicle-related items, any makes and models.

Shoppers can enter the lot at 8 a.m. at the cost of $1 per vehicle. Lubker said no early birds are allowed. The sale ends at 1 p.m.

All proceeds go to the Eureka High School scholarship fund.

400-plus vendors are registered for this sale/swap meet. Chamber Executive Director Kelly Lubker just said at mid-day she believes another 100 vendors plan to be late registrants tomorrow morning.

How do you register? Or get on their email list for next year?
