Any extra school supplies and new back packs can be channeled to an annual Backpack Attack hosted at Living Word United Methodist Church until Sunday, July 15.

Supplies are flowing in, as evidenced by the pile accumulating at the school bus in the Living Word lobby Sunday.

The goal is to outfit 250 backpacks that will be distributed by Rockwood School District representatives to qualified students.

Adult volunteers are needed for the Backpack Attack event on July 28, at which recipient families will be offered a light lunch and activities.

Anyone interested in volunteering on July 28 can contact Susan Wintermute at this email address or by calling 636-458-8672.
