Auto Accident Injures Two

The driver of a Chevy Trailblazer overturned off an exit ramp near Williams Road and Interstate 44 in Eureka on Sunday evening. The driver and passenger were transported to St. John's Medical Center.

 

Two St. Louis residents were injured Sunday when the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer they were in traveled off the south side of the exit ramp of Williams Road to Interstate 44 in Eureka at 5:55 p.m. The sport utility vehicle overturned, according to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, who handled the accident.

Trooper Q. Dinovi, of Highway Patrol Troop C, indicated in the report that the driver was Marcus Curry, 21. A passenger, Valeriya Nerouch, is 20 years old. Curry was transported by ambulance to St. John's Medical Center in Creve Coeur. Nerouch was transported by Arch Air Medical Service to St. John's Medical Center as well.

Neither were wearing seat belts, according to the report. The vehicle was headed toward eastbound I-44.

The SUV was totaled.

As of this morning, Nerouch had been stabilized in the center's trauma unit and was considered in fair condition, according to the nurses attending her.
