West St. Louis County Lions Club/Eureka Days Run-Walk for Sight
Please join us for the 7th Annual West St. Louis County Lions Club/Eureka Days Run-Walk for Sight on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 8 a.m. in Old Town Eureka, at the corner of Central and Dreyer, immediately preceding the annual Eureka Days Parade.
The run is a 5K/3.1 mile race on a certified course throughout Old Town and the surrounding neighborhoods; the walk is 3K “fun walk” and there is a ½ mile “kids run” for the little folks! Entry fee is $18 a person, kids (10 or under) $10, or $48 for an entire family prior to Sept. 2; after Sept. 2 the entry fee is $25 a person, kids (10 or under) $10, or $60 for an entire family.
You can register on-line at www.active.com and enter Run For Sight in the search field, in-person at the Eureka Parks Department, Connie’s Total Fitness, Tri County Realty, Comprehensive Chiropractic, Wildwood Family YMCA, or by mail by picking up one of our sign-up fliers at any one these locations and mailing it to: Lions Run, P.O. Box 125, Eureka, MO 63025.
Fee includes “Dry-Fit” T-shirt (limited to 4 shirts per family entry), post race snacks, refreshments and awards. Prizes will be awarded to male and female participants in several different age categories.
100% of the proceeds from this event go toward charitable needs in our area, such as the Missouri School for the Blind, Lions Eye Research and Eye Clinic, as well as college scholarships to our local high school seniors, care packages to our troops overseas, and the Lions summer youth swimming program.
