If the parents want this kid to participate in this pageant, then they need to cough up the money. Also if you google this pageant, it appears to be a scam: http://www.national-american-miss-scam.com/ It reminds me of the John Powers "your kid can be a model" scam.

this pageant is sponsorship only,it's a community to support a kid and her dream to do somethin, i had another daughter do it for two years and she won alot of trophys, so how can it be a scam?
