New Board of Public Safety Member Appointed in Wildwood
Bill Garrett, a Wildwood resident and former St. Louis County police officer for the Wildwood precinct for seven years, was appointed to the city's board of public safety at the Dec. 13 city council meeting.
Garrett has lived in Wildwood since 1994.
He told councilmembers he is eager to help keep Wildwood safe as the city's continues to grow.
Ryan Thomas,Wildwood's director of public works and staff liaison to this board said its members make recommendations to the city council members regarding public safety issues.
Garrett joins these other Wildwood volunteers: Bob Warren, Jeetu Nanda, MD, Charlie Spohn, and Bud Mantle.
Councilmember Rick Wise (Ward 4) serves as the council liaison to the board. Capt. Ken Williams, commander of the St. Louis County Police-Wildwood precinct, is the police liaison to the group.
