Gov. Jay Nixon announced on June 1 appointments to eight boards and commissions. The appointees, along with their boards and hometowns, are:

• Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board (Kerry Messer - Festus)
• Harris-Stowe State University Board of Regents (Reginald D. Dickson – Normandy)
• Missouri Board of Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Landscape Architects (Kelley Cramm – Kansas City; Melissa Joy Edwards – St. Joseph)
• Missouri Board of Examiners for Hearing Instrument Specialists (Brian D. Vesely – Ozark)
• Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners (Margaret Freihaut – Robertsville; Charles Quigless – St. Louis)
• Missouri State Board of Nursing (Kelly J. Scott – Columbia)
• Missouri State Foster Care and Adoption Board (Dean Aye – Mountain View; Beverly Dawn Caruso – Cape Girardeau; Kelly L. Floyd – Hazelwood; Suzette Forbis – Clark; Melinda Nicholson – Nixa; Eric Pilson – Blue Eye; Janet E. Richardson – Independence; Derek E. Williams – Cameron)
