Lafayette Girls Swimming & Diving took 2^nd and 3^rd place at a swim meet in Springfield, MO on Jan.  25 and 26, competing against six other teams during the Friday competition and 19 other teams on Saturday.

During the “Friday Night Fights” meet, the Lancers took 2^nd to the Kansas City area team, Glendale, with a final score of 334 to 273.

Highlights from that event were:

• 1^st place, 200 Medley Relay,  Mae Riordan, Claire Kirchhoefer, Taylor Holz, Katherine Lucken
• 2^nd place, 200 Free, Kirchhoefer
• 1^st and 2^nd place, 200 IM, Riordan and Gretchen Cox
• 2^nd place, 100 Backstroke, Lucken
• 1^st place, 100 Breast, Kirchhoefer
• 3^rd place, 400 Free Relay, Laura Paskoff, Riordan, Cox, Lauren Hansen
• Divers Grace Delaney and Anna Bader represented the team and took 7^th and 11^th place respectively.

Lafayette took 3^rd place in the meet against 19 other teams on Saturday with 319.5 points behind Notre Dame Di Sion with 340 points and Glendale with 326 points.
